SCHOLAR'S MUSIC PROJECT
YASD has partnered up with Scholar's Music Project — a revolutionary new program that brings classical music instruction to elementary school students. The mission of the Scholar's Music Project is to create social change through sustainable music education.
In the first year of operation, the Scholar's Music Project
has provided music instruction for 223 under-served students
at 4 elementary schools in Chula Vista, CA. 20 musical instruments have been donated to the project for students to use.
Scholar's Music Project Programs are currently found in these schools:
Grades K-4
"Keys To Achievement" (Computer Keyboard Program)
Ella B. Allen Elementary School
Lillian J. Rice Elementary School
Grades 5-6
Afterschool Band and Orchestra (Instrument Exploration)
Lillian J. Rice Elementary School
Rosebank Elementary School
