Young Audiences of San Diego serves the San Diego community by providing arts education programs to local schools, advocating in the community at local art fairs, providing a free professional development series for classroom teachers and arts educators, and by leading the Arts Education Resource Organization for local arts education organizations.

Professional Development Series: YASD's Teaching Artists provide free, monthly professional development programs. Classes Include: Classroom Management, Lesson Planning, Eithics and Mandatory Reporting, the Mulicultural Classroom and Program Evaluation.

Arts Education Resource Organization (AERO): YASD's Education Director, Jennifer Oliver, in partnership with the San Diego County Office of Education co-direct an open forum where organizations can investigate and address concerns of their organization and the state of arts education in San Diego Schools. AERO also provides an excellent opportunity for people to network and collaborate on projects to promote arts education.

AERO has recently launched their website which provides a useful search engine for teachers and administrators to to learn about all AERO participants and their programs for schools and arts learning centers. www.aerosd.org
